Air Fryer displays SHUT error code

If your air fryer is displaying the SHUT or ADD POT error code, please carry out the following checks:

  1. Ensure the drawer or basket is fully inserted into the air fryer.
  2. Remove the drawer or basket and check for any food debris, grease or objects that may be preventing it from closing correctly.
  3. Check the drawer, basket and lining for any signs of damage, warping or distortion.
  4. Ensure the basket and drawer are fitted correctly and are not preventing the safety switch from being activated.
  5. Do not overload the basket, as this may stop the drawer from closing correctly.
  6. Switch the air fryer off, unplug it from the mains and wait a few minutes before reconnecting and trying again.
