A gentle humming or hissing sound is normal during operation, as the appliance heats water and produces steam.
If your steam cleaner is making a louder or unusual noise than usual, try the following checks:
- Check the water level: Make sure the water tank contains enough water and is not running low.
- Check for trapped air: If the cleaner has recently been refilled, allow it to heat up according to the user manual.
- Inspect the nozzles: Check for blockages caused by dirt or limescale. Clean them according to your model's instructions.
- Check for limescale build-up: If the cleaner has not been descaled recently, follow the recommended descaling instructions in your user manual.
